Tapestries of Hope, in theaters September 28th, is a feature-length documentary that reveals the story of human rights activist Betty Makoni and the Girl Child Network (GCN) in Zimbabwe, Africa. The documentary exposes the myth behind the belief that raping a virgin cures a man of HIV/AIDS.

Not everything about Afghanistan is complicated Hagar Afghanistan opened it’s shelter just over a year ago. The Kabul shelter has a capacity of 35 at a time. We were prepared to receive a majority of women who were victims of abuse, rape, trafficking. We were not expecting to receive so many children. In the first 14 months of operations, Hagar served a total of 17 women and 75 children. Some, like five-year-old Mateen, came with their mothers. STF Meets with a Delegation from Malaysia
Last week, representatives from Stop Traffick Fashion met with a delegation from Malaysia who were visiting the Greater Cincinnati World Affairs Council. They are in the U.S. for three weeks with the U.S. State Dept.’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) meeting with various organizations to discuss their anti-trafficking efforts. Martha Hill met with them and told them about the mission of Stop Traffick Fashion and how the work we do impacts trafficking abroad.
