Cambodia is a little known country to most Americans. It’s beautiful, lush nation in Southeast Asia, filled with ancient culture and deep history. Last week, a special celebration was held for Hagar Cambodia’s children, called ”Hands Up!” In Phnom Penh, nearly 100 guests attended. All evening, the kids ran the show. Girls sang. Boys danced hip-hop. Hagar staff member Sue Hanna said, “I was very, very proud of them all. They were confident, and they performed their hearts out.” Rithy tells his story Rithy, who came to Hagar at 12 years of age, gave the keynote address. Now a medical student at university, Rithy’s life has been a remarkable journey. Last Thursday night, he talked about the abuse he endured as a child. How he was an orphan on the streets. Read more
