Fair Tuesday Sale: November 27th

This week you’re probably being bombarded with Black Friday and Cyber Monday ads. But an ethical fashion addition to the holiday shopping frenzy is here: Fair Tuesday. The initiative was started by Global Goods, a New York-based nonprofit, fair trade organization that supports over 40 women-led artisan groups in Asia, Africa and the Americas. Here’s more from the site:

The goal of #FairTuesday is to inspire conscious consumerism and show how an everyday purchase can change lives in a whole community. We are featuring fair trade and eco-friendly brands and inviting other businesses to take a step towards sustainability.

Whether you are an individual, organization, or a member of the press, you can join the #FairTuesday movement in two simple ways: by buying one fair trade item on Tuesday, November 27th, and by helping us spread the word about the movement on social media using hashtag #FairTuesday.

In honor of Fair Tuesday, STF is having a one-day sale. Get 30% off your order on Tuesday, November 27 with the code fairtuesday. Spread the word (you can use #fairtuesday on Twitter). Check out our ethical fashion page and Global Goods for more places to shop and to learn more about the impact of ethical fashion.

Emily founded Stop Traffick Fashion in 2009. She’d been becoming more and more involved in the abolitionist movement, and she decided to start STF as an opportunity to bring together the best of all products made by survivors of trafficking. She hopes her response to trafficking will inspire others to take action, even in a small way. Emily lives in Bend, Oregon, enjoys traveling, and has visited Hagar International and StopStart in Cambodia.
