We carry a line of natural, hand-made bath and body products made by Thistle Farms in Tennessee. To read more about Thistle Farms, check out our recent blog post about them which includes a link to a story on NPR.  In celebration of Thistle Farm’s 10 year anniversary, they’re calling women everywhere to paint their nails purple to support women’s freedom. That sounds like a great idea to me!

If you’re looking for a great way to do a quick, easy but effective mani or pedi, check out their sandal survival kit. It includes a glass nail file, body polish, body butter and, of course, purple polish! I’ve tried all their products and trust me, they are amazing. The polish and body butter make your skin go from dry and flaky to smooth and glowing!

To complete your manicure, start out with clean hands and file your nails to the desired length.

Next, apply the  body polish and allow the scrub and natural oils to smooth your skin. Then apply the body butter to lock in the moisture! Before you apply the nail polish, clean your nails again with polish remover to get rid of any oil on the nail. This will help the polish stay put longer!

The last step, of course, is applying the polish… et voila. So go ahead, get your kit and support Thistle Farms and women’s freedom!
