Many different women live at Magdalene, a residential community providing housing, food, medical and dental care, therapy, education and job training for women who have survived lives of violence, prostitution and addiction. Many of these women have experienced sexual abuse, alcohol and drug abuse, and prison.

During their time at Magdalene they learn to craft natural bath and beauty products by hand—treats that are as kind to the environment as they are to the body.

“Thistle Farms and Magdalene stand as a witness to the truth that in the end love is more powerful than all the forces that drive women to the streets,” the organization says.
