Summer time is here. It’s time for fresh produce and lots of it. Yum! But how do you know if the people who grow and pick your fruits and veggies are treated well and paid adequately for their work? Many farm workers aren’t paid well. For instance, “workers earn around 45 cents for each 32 pound bucket of tomatoes they pick. That’s just 1.4 cents per pound of tomatoes, and the price hasn’t changed in nearly 30 years.” (Info found here.)
