Nicholas Kristof on CNN

Nicholas Kristof, NYT columnist and Half the Sky co-author was recently interviewed on CNN. You can watch the video below. One of my favorite quotes is right at the end.

In the 19th century, people were able to abolish a form of slavery that was deeply embedded in the global economy. These days, I think it’s actually rather more more easy to make a difference…this is an area where it really does seem we can see improvement if we just keep the spotlight on it. I’m really just impressed by young people all over the world who’ve taken on this issue and figured that it’s time to have an emancipation for the 21st century, as well.

Hey – that’s you and me! We can make a difference and by keeping the spotlight on this important issue. Thanks for your support of Stop Traffick Fashion and for all you do to help end trafficking and support survivors!

About

Emily founded Stop Traffick Fashion in 2009. She’d been becoming more and more involved in the abolitionist movement, and she decided to start STF as an opportunity to bring together the best of all products made by survivors of trafficking. She hopes her response to trafficking will inspire others to take action, even in a small way. Emily lives in Cincinnati, enjoys traveling, and has visited Hagar International and StopStart in Cambodia.
